First “Writings From The Web” Post

Hi there, and welcome to my blog- “Writings From The Web”!

I’m Charlotte Heinz-Hoefert, MS, LPCC, NCC a licensed mental health counselor with over a decade of experience supporting individuals and families through life’s challenges. This space is an extension of my new private practice here in Worthington, Minnesota — a small town with a big heart, and a place I’m proud to serve.

I’m licensed in Minnesota, Iowa, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and Georgia, which allows me to meet with clients across state lines through secure telehealth sessions. For local clients, I also offer walk-and-talk therapy — a unique way to process emotions and experiences while connecting with nature and movement.

My approach combines feminist and solution-focused therapies, meaning I see you as the expert in your own life. Together, we work to uncover strengths, identify goals, and challenge systems that may be contributing to your distress — whether those are personal, cultural, or societal.

As a mental health provider, I believe care should be accessible, affirming, and inclusive. I'm committed to practicing with a social justice lens, and I actively show up as an ally to BIPOC clients, immigrants, and anyone navigating marginalization or systemic barriers. Everyone deserves to feel seen, safe, and supported in their healing.

This blog is here to create connection — to explore mental wellness, share tools for everyday resilience, and address challenging topics, especially in rural spaces where mental health can still feel like a taboo topic. Community care is real care.
